Quartz is 93% natural quartz and 7% quality polyester resins and pigments. This non-porous surface is also impervious to water.

Quartz Countertop Options - The following options are available for Quartz Countertops:
- Finish - Polish or Honed
- Edge Treatment
- Splash - Set On or Tiled Backsplash
- Sink Type - Top Mount or Under Mount
Stain Resistance - Quartz is virtually a maintenance free product combining the non-porous surface with natural materials. Because Quartz is a nonporous, smooth surface it resists even the toughest stains and will retain its luster for many years without the need for sealants or waxes.
Heat Resistance - Although Quartz is not heat proof it is very heat resistant. It is not recommended to set anything very hot directly on Quartz because the extreme temperature change have, in rare instances, damaged the countertop. Although it is recommended to use a hot pad or trivet, most cookware will not get hot enough to damage natural stone.
Cutting and Abrasion Resistance - Quartz is a an extremely hard substance thanks to the high content of natural crystals. Cuts and abrasions that would typically damage many other countertop surfaces will not affect a quartz countertop.
Impact - Quartz is extremely durable and can withstand many impacts but is susceptible to damage from a hard impact, especially along its edges.
Food Safe - Unlike Granite, Quartz has been certified by NSF International as safe for use as a food preparation surface. Since Quartz is nonporous it prohibits food and moisture from penetrating the surface which is the main source of growth for harmful bacteria.
